Certifying climate resilience has never been easier

Follow the steps of the greenpass Certification and confirm the climate resilience of your real estate and open space with the greenpass

Visit the  greenpass Shop and secure your greenpass Certification. The recommendation includes the standard module. It can be expanded with additional add-ons from the categories Scenarios, Conditions, Analysis, Communication, and Service.


We recommend using the greenpass Pre-Certification before greenpass Certification to ensure the appropriate certification level. The greenpass Team and our Urban Climate Architect (UCA) partners are happy to support you for your choice.

Submit your project information and upload your data using the data upload form. A digital twin will be modeled based on your data using the greenpass Editor.

The greenpass Certification process perform automated, high-resolution expert simulations based on the digital twin. The digital twin from the greenpass Editor serves as the single source of truth (SSOT) for the microclimate simulations. The simulation is based on ENVI-met - the world's leading microclimate simulation software.

Based on the simulation, the greenpass Certification automatically calculates meaningful and numerical key performance indicators (KPIs) for climate, water, air, biodiversity, energy, and costs. The comprehensive results are visualized as thematic 2D heatmaps and summarized in a certification matrix and a certification label.

Finally, the greenpass Certification offers an official certification package, which is handed over or sent to the customer. The package contains an official certificate, a diploma, the report, and a certification plaque.

The greenpass Certification is based on standardized reference scenarios and allows a fair, transparent and location-based assessment worldwide

Worst Case (WOC)

The worst case scenario is 100% sealed according to a standardized recipe and without any green. The scenario forms the lower evaluation framework (0%) for the site for all indicators during certification

50%

Moderate Case (MOC)

The moderate case scenario is approximately 50% greened (open space + building) according to a standardized greening recipe. The scenario forms the upper evaluation framework (100%) for the site for the cost indicators during certification

100%

Best Case (BEC)

The best case scenario is approximately 75% greened (open space and building) according to a standardized greening recipe. The scenario forms the upper evaluation framework (100%) for the site for all indicators, with the exception of the cost indicators, during certification
