The use case EU Taxonomy and ESG meets the requirements of the EU Taxonomy according to Appendix II – which have been in force since 2020. The EU Taxonomy applies to all economic activities related to building, renovating and trading in real estate. The taxonomy requires each project to make a significant contribution to one environmental objective without causing significant harm to the other environmental objectives. Green assets appreciate in value and receive better financing terms, while non-green assets are at risk of declining value and higher financing costs. Compliance with the EU Taxonomy is also a key element of ESG reporting.
You can use greenpass DIY to proof your real estate in line with environmental objective 2 - adaptation to climate change. It's recommended to follow up with greenpass Expert and EU Taxonomy module, to get a supervised confirmation based on digital twin simulations.
Framework for sustainable activities
The EU Taxonomy is a comprehensive regulatory framework and classification system for sustainable and green activities defined by the EU Commission aligned with the net zero trajectory by 2050 and additional environmental goals beyond climate.
It consists out of six environmental objectives. Activities have to make a substantial contribution to at least one of the six environmental objectives. Do no significant harm to any of the other five environmental objectives. And Comply with minimum safeguards and the applicable technical screening criteria. Choose your greenpass
The recommendation includes a subscription for climate proofing with greenpass DIY to proof EU taxonomy compliance in self-service and based on AI. You can furthermore upgrade or use greenpass Expert with the EU Taxonomy modul, to get a supervised EU-Taxonomy compliance based on digital twin simulations.
Depending on your needs and aims your greenpass can be extended with respective modules. It's highly recommended, to expand it with a greenpass Pre-Certification and Certification in order to get a relatively valuable proof of quality.
